While specialized armored vehicle training courses do exist, they are primarily available to law enforcement and security professionals through third-party partnerships. Alpine Armoring does not regularly offer formal training programs to civilian clients. On rare occasions, we may provide basic operational guidance upon request. However, for most civilian owners of armored vehicles, extensive training is not necessary for daily driving.
Armored car chauffeur training and armored transport driver course programs cover tactical driving skills, including evasion maneuvers, hijacking response protocols, and stability management. These courses offer armored driver safety certification through theoretical and practical training on armored vehicle driving and maintenance, and ballistic protection awareness. The advanced armored car driver program teaches operators to strategically position armored vehicles as mobile safehouses, providing protection during high-risk situations.
However, for most people, driving an armored SUV or a sedan doesn’t require extensive training. Daily operation primarily requires common sense, though Alpine Armoring always recommends armored car driver education for all clients to ensure proper service and operation. Keeping a safe distance from other vehicles is important because the increased weight of the car means it takes longer to stop. Drivers need to be careful when turning to avoid tipping over and should pay attention to speed limits, as the extra weight can make handling trickier at higher speeds. Staying aware of these security factors can prevent accidents and maintain safety on the road.
Our partnerships with experienced instructors who train civilians, security personnel, and law enforcement teams create courses that help operators understand the principles of defensive driving, manage dynamics effectively, and maintain the safe operation of bulletproof vehicles in any environment.
