MOBILE APP PRIVACY (iOS & Android)

Effective Date: January 2026

This section applies specifically to users of the Alpine Armoring mobile application ("App") on iOS and Android and supplements the information provided elsewhere in this Privacy Policy.

Information Collected by the Mobile App

When you use the App, we may collect the following categories of information:

Push Notification and Device Information

Push Notification Tokens: If you enable push notifications, we collect a unique device token provided by Firebase Cloud Messaging. This token is used solely for delivering push notifications such as company announcements, vehicle updates, and order-related notifications (where applicable).

Platform Information: Information about your device platform (iOS or Android) is collected to support correct notification delivery and App functionality.

Notification Status: Information about whether notifications are enabled on your device may be processed to support notification delivery behavior.

User-Provided Information (Forms and Inquiries)

When you submit contact or vehicle inquiry forms through the App, we collect the information you provide, which may include:

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Mobile phone number
  • Alternate phone number (optional)
  • Country
  • State / province
  • Customer type
  • Inquiry type
  • Preferred contact method
  • Message content

Vehicle Inquiry Context

When your inquiry relates to a specific vehicle, relevant vehicle details may be included automatically to help us respond accurately, such as:

  • Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)
  • Make
  • Model
  • Year
  • Armor level

Customer Order Codes

If you choose to associate a customer order code with the App, this code is processed to enable personalized, order-related notifications. You may unlink your customer order code at any time through the App settings, which removes the association between your device and order-specific notifications.

App Usage Information

To provide and improve our services, we collect information about how you interact with the App, including:

  • Which vehicles you view
  • Search terms and filters you apply
  • Vehicle categories you browse

This information is used solely to improve our inventory presentation and user experience.

Information We Do NOT Collect

The App does not collect or access:

  • Precise or approximate location data
  • Third-party analytics or behavioral tracking data
  • Camera, photo library, or contacts
  • Clipboard or calendar data

How We Use Mobile App Information

We use the information collected through the App to:

  • Deliver push notifications about new vehicles, company news, and order updates
  • Respond to your contact and vehicle inquiries
  • Provide customer support and order status updates
  • Improve our vehicle inventory and App experience
  • Maintain and enhance App functionality

We do not use mobile app data for advertising, marketing to third parties, or behavioral tracking purposes.

Local App Storage

The App stores certain information locally on your device using standard application storage mechanisms, including:

  • Push notification token
  • Notification permission status
  • Device registration status
  • Customer order code (if provided)

This information is stored locally on your device, is only accessible by the App, and is automatically deleted when you uninstall the App.

Server Storage and Data Retention

We retain mobile app–related data as follows:

Push Notification Data: Device tokens and related information are retained while notifications are enabled and the App is actively used. Tokens are removed when they become invalid, when notification delivery fails, when notifications are disabled at the device level, or when the App is uninstalled. Inactive devices may be periodically cleaned from our systems.

Form Submissions: Contact and vehicle inquiry submissions are stored in our backend systems for customer service, sales follow-up, and internal record-keeping purposes in accordance with our standard business practices and legal obligations.

Customer Order Codes: Associations between customer order codes and devices remain active while needed for notification purposes and are removed when you unlink the code in the App or request removal.

You may request access to or deletion of mobile app–related server data by contacting info@alpineco.com. Requests are processed within 30 days of verification and in accordance with applicable law.

Third-Party Services Used by the Mobile App

The App relies on the following third-party services to operate its core functionality:

Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google): Used to deliver push notifications and process device identifiers required for notification delivery. Privacy policy: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy

Strapi CMS: Used to host vehicle information and store contact and inquiry submissions.

Amazon CloudFront CDN: Used to deliver images and videos and may log IP addresses for security and performance purposes. Privacy policy: https://aws.amazon.com/privacy/

Alpine Push Notification Server: A proprietary system operated by Alpine Armoring that manages device registration and notification delivery in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Personal information is shared with these services only as necessary to operate the App's functionality. We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes.

Your Choices and Rights Related to the Mobile App

You may:

  • Disable push notifications at any time through your device's system settings
  • Unlink your customer order code through the App to stop receiving personalized order notifications
  • Uninstall the App to remove locally stored App data from your device
  • Request access to or deletion of mobile app–related personal information by contacting info@alpineco.com

Security Measures

We implement the following security practices to protect your information:

  • Data transmitted between the App and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS
  • Push notifications are delivered through Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging with industry-standard encryption
  • Data stored locally on your device is protected by your device's operating system security features and device-level encryption (available on modern iOS and Android devices)
  • We implement rate limiting and input validation to prevent unauthorized access

While we strive to protect your personal information, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

International Data Transfers

To provide the App's services, we operate servers and process data in the United States. If you access the App from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States where our data processing infrastructure is located. This transfer is necessary to deliver the App's functionality, including push notifications, vehicle inventory access, and inquiry submissions.

Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us at info@alpineco.com and we will promptly delete such information.

Changes to Mobile App Privacy Practices

We may update this Mobile App Privacy section from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. When we make material changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this section. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated practices.
