Motoring journalist Cesare Gasparri Zezza drove the Alpine Armoring Condort® armored luxury tactical truck in California and reviewed it for two Italian outlets: the national daily Il Giornale, in print on Monday, October 12, 2026, and the motoring site Autoappassionati.it, online on Friday, October 16, 2026.

Both reviews go through the powertrain and armor: a 6.7L Power Stroke V8 turbo-diesel rated at 330 hp on a Ford F-600 Super Duty 4x4 chassis, and protection from Alpine Level A9 (B6+) up to Alpine Level A12 (B7+).

What did Il Giornale say about the Condort®?

In Il Giornale, Gasparri Zezza called the Condort® “an American armored pickup that combines the look of a tactical vehicle with the cabin of a limousine.” The review ran on page 30 of the Motori (motoring) section under the headline “Condort, al volante del «gigante blindato»” (“Condort: Behind the Wheel of the ‘Armored Giant’”), and subscribers can read the page on PressReader.

Near the end of the review, he wrote: “Here, luxury means feeling sheltered from everything.”

What did Autoappassionati.it say about the Condort®?

On Autoappassionati.it, Gasparri Zezza reviewed both versions of the Condor, the Condor® SUV and the Condort®, and included a Condort® spec sheet. He summed up the Condor’s two sides in one line: “Outside, it looks ready for a special operation; inside, for a long-haul flight in first class.”

He also noted:

  • Presence: “Next to the Condor, a Hummer H1 or a Cadillac Escalade suddenly look like modest purchases.”
  • Comfort: “The driving position is comfortable,” he wrote, and in the back, “the reclining seats call to mind one of the best business classes.”
  • Visibility: “The ballistic glass doesn’t produce those annoying distortions you could find on some older builds.”
  • Protection: He went through Alpine Armoring’s ballistic table, which rates Alpine Level A9 against 7.62×51 mm M80 Ball and Alpine Level A12 against .50 BMG Ball, and added that “resistance depends on the configuration chosen, the type of ammunition, and the conditions specified in the tests.” He closed the review by writing that “the Condor shows how much this industry has changed: today you can travel inside armor and discuss, in all seriousness, how to adjust the footrest.”

How is the Condort® different from the Condor® SUV?

The Condort® swaps the SUV’s enclosed rear for an open cargo bed on the same Ford F-600 Super Duty 4x4 platform. In Gasparri Zezza’s words, “the Condor SUV favors the enclosed cabin, while the Condort adds an external cargo area.” The documentation he consulted presents the bed as space for carrying equipment. The spec sheet in the review lists 20-inch wheels with run-flat inserts, which keep the Condort® moving after tire damage, within the system’s limits.

How do you order a Condor® or Condort®?

Alpine Armoring prices each build by quote, based on the protection level and configuration you choose. You’ll find specifications and options on the Condor® SUV page and the Condort® page, and the Condort® overview covers the truck’s armor and VIP cabin in more depth. Alpine Armoring showed the Condort® at The Quail during Monterey Car Week in August 2026. To configure either version, contact the Alpine Armoring team.
