Overview of POINTER® Armored SWAT/APC Van

The Alpine Armoring POINTER® SWAT Van on the Mercedes Sprinter/Ford Transit chassis is a purpose-built tactical vehicle engineered to support law enforcement and security teams in high-risk operations. Designed for rapid deployment and urban maneuverability, it delivers the protection and operational capability required to execute missions with confidence and control.

Inside, the vehicle offers a spacious, configurable cabin accommodating up to 10 personnel, including the driver, with ergonomic seating and integrated storage for tactical equipment. The Sprinter/Transit base provides a balanced combination of agility, ride comfort, and durability, supported by a robust powertrain, a reinforced suspension, and high-performance braking, delivering responsive handling in dynamic environments.

Available in armor levels from Alpine Level A4 to A9 (B6+), the POINTER® is typically outfitted with certified ballistic steel and multi-layer bullet-resistant glass to defend against a wide spectrum of threats, including rifle fire and explosive devices. Additional protective systems include run-flat tires, a self-sealing fuel tank, and underbody blast protection.

Enhanced with mission-ready features such as heavy-duty bumpers, equipment racks, communications, surveillance integration, and optional overwatch capabilities, the POINTER® SWAT Van combines unparalleled ballistic protection with state-of-the-art engineering and commanding styling – highly maneuverable and fit for any mission from urban policing and tactical response to national security operations.

Platform options include Ford Transit, Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, and other full-size cargo vans of your choice.
