CHANTILLY, VA, UNITED STATES, October 13, 2026 -- Alpine Armoring, a leading manufacturer of high-quality armored vehicles, is pleased to announce its participation in the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) 2026 Annual Conference and Exposition, taking place October 24-27, 2026, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. Alpine Armoring will exhibit three vehicles built for law enforcement at booth 2553: the POINTER® Tactical Armored SWAT Van and the loaded, armored Chevrolet Suburban High Country, both armored to Alpine Level A9 (B6+), and the Pit-Bull VX® .50 Cal Tactical Armored SWAT Truck, armored to Alpine Level A12 (B7+).

IACP 2026 is the year's largest and most impactful police event. The conference draws more than 16,000 public safety professionals, and the exposition hall opens Saturday, October 24, with more than 600 vendor displays through Tuesday, October 27. Alpine Armoring exhibited at IACP 2025 in Denver with the Pit-Bull VX® .50 Cal, the POINTER® & Demo Armored Ford Explorer PPV that was shot & tested. Newer, updated versions return for Orlando, joined this year by a newly delivered Armored Chevrolet Suburban High Country.

Featured Vehicles

Pit-Bull VX® .50 Cal Tactical Armored SWAT Truck - Armored to Alpine Level A12 (B7+), the Pit-Bull VX® .50 Cal stops .50 Cal BMG, .30-06 AP, 7.62x51 AP, 7.62x39 AP, and 5.56x45 AP rounds. A heavy-duty Ford F-600 chassis and V8 turbo-diesel carry the armor package, while a roof hatch, weapon hatch, and upgraded suspension equip the truck for SWAT missions, hostage rescue, and mobile command. Police Departments, Sheriff’s Offices & Federal Agencies all over the country operate the Pit-Bull VX®. Full specifications are on the Pit-Bull VX® .50 Cal page.

POINTER® Tactical Armored SWAT Van - Armored to Alpine Level A9 (B6+), the POINTER® is a versatile armored SWAT personnel carrier built for secure team transport and rapid deployment. Alpine Armoring builds it on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter and Ford Transit platforms, seats up to 11 occupants, and configures a full build-out including seating, storage, communications, and lighting options to match each department’s operational profile. See the full range of POINTER® configurations.

Armored Chevrolet Suburban High Country - Armored to Alpine Level A9 (B6+), the Security Escort pairs the most widely deployed full-size SUV in United States government and law enforcement fleets with a reinforced body and an upgraded suspension and brake package sized for the armor weight. Run-flat wheels, a 360-degree LED lighting kit, siren and PA systems, and a communications fit-out equip it for motorcade and lead-vehicle duty. Alpine Armoring offers the armored Chevrolet Suburban at Alpine Level A4, A6, A9 and A12, and federal and agency buyers can purchase through Alpine Armoring’s GSA contract, 47QSMS26D0064.

“Departments do not buy a tactical truck from a brochure,” said Fred Khoroushi, president of Alpine Armoring. “They want to climb in, sit where their team will sit, and ask what happens when the vehicle takes a round. That is what a booth is for, and it is why we bring the vehicles instead of photographs.”

Alpine Armoring’s engineering and sales teams will staff booth 2553 for the full run of the exposition hall. Attendees can walk through each vehicle, compare protection levels against their own threat profile, and discuss build options, grant funding, and lead times on site. Departments planning a purchase can review the current armored law enforcement fleet and units available now before the show.
