Do I Need an Export License to Ship Armored Vehicles Outside of the United States?

You always need an export license to ship an armored vehicle outside the United States when it is built to Alpine Armoring protection level A10 (CEN B7) or above, or when it has weapon modifications such as gun ports. Standard models up to A9 (CEN B6) may ship without one under the Department of Commerce rules of June 20, 2013, depending on the vehicle's GVWR, destination, intended use, and end-user.

1. Individual Assessment: Each vehicle model will be looked at individually to see if it qualifies under the regulations.
